Following a campaign which saw most reformist candidates disqualified, the conservatives’ hold on parliament went largely uncontested during Iran’s last elections. The official 60% figure in voters’ turnout, hailed ‘epic’ by the clerical leadership, was highly disputed. Weast was in the Islamic Republic to report on what matters most to Iranians: finding their role in a complex society. Broadcast on Swiss National TV’s Italian Channel TSI (16:9 ratio).
