The US presidential elections caught the interest of many, in
Afghanistan. On the other hand, the war-ravaged country featured as a hot
topic in the Democratic and Republican foreign policy agendas. During his
campaign, newly-elected president Barack Obama had announced that, in
order to counter the Taleban offensive, he intended to send 7 thousand
more troops to Afghanistan. On 5th November, a cautious satisfaction for
the elections' outcome was palpable among Afghan journalists. Weast

National TV, Italian channel TSI, 16:9)
