According to varying estimates, Christians in Egypt make up between 10 and 20% of a population of 80 millions. In the third episode of the series,
Weast Productions’ Gianluca Grossi travelled to the North African country
in search of their origins and surviving traditions. In his trip from Alexandria to Upper Egypt he uncovered a poor, marginilised and inconspicuous community that firmly clings to its faith amid tensions and hope. Through their individual stories, he witnessed both the success and the limits of religious coexistence. The 52-minutes’ documentary (16:9) was aired on Swiss National TV channel RSI on 25th December, 2009.
