In December, 2009 on the 1st anniversary of Operation Cast Lead, Weast Productions returned to Gaza to find it in ruins; political infighting and a strict Israeli embargo have been hampering all efforts at reconstruction. Disappointed by loud international indifference, civilians are overcome by feelings of resignation and grief, fear and worry. And yet more misery and isolation expect the Strip as Egypt builds its own undeground wall to stop smuggling through tunnels, the only remaining connection to the outside world. As frail glimps of hope still survive among shattered buildings and lives, Palestinian factions train and rearm. Gianluca Grossi reports for Swiss National TV RSI. Clip with voice-over in Italian.
